Timeball (I may come back to that later) the garden was looking pretty shagged. The remains of the silverbeet were floppy, the garlic looked sick, and the tomatoes seemed not long for this world. Although, I always seem to talk of woe with the vegetables, this time it seemed justified. The application of some water at the appropriate moments seems to have assisted somewhat, but the poor dears are fighting for their little lives. Damn inconsistent Wellington weather! I have put in some more radishes and spring onions since there is now a little space. Fingers crossed.
